HIV AIDS- An Important Health Concern

HIV AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) - a persistent disorder, in which the white blood cells that are responsible for the prevention of diseases are attacked, therefore, it makes the human immune system weaker.  The (CD4+) T cells and the white blood cells, plays a vital role in fighting infections within the human body. When the virus hits the body and destroys these strong cells, the patient happens to be defenseless to severe infections and ailments.
HIV AIDS affects millions around the world and even more are at a threat of exposure to the virus. Each Year, on the 1st December, World AIDS day is celebrated for enlightening the public on HIV AIDS so that more lives could be saved.
There is no such treatment that can cure the patients from HIV AIDS till date but health practitioners are working hard to discover treatments for HIV AIDS. There is a common treatment, usually called as ART (Antiretroviral therapy) is found to be the best treatment for HIV affected patients. However, ART cannot deracinate the infection completely but still it is an accepted practice of doctors that helps lengthen the patient’s life and make improvements to his health.
Over the past years, scholars have comprehensively studied AIDS; their findings are published in various scientific and medical journals.
